Yunomiko Hot Spring reportedly began bubbling up along the Suyama River more than 300 years ago. The name, whose ideographic characters mean “spring shrine maiden,” derives from the legend that a shrine maiden soaked in its waters. For a long time in the Edo period, the people in the vicinity washed their horses and farming implements in the spring. In 1952, however, it was opened as a hot spring for bathing. Our inn opened in 1967, and became one of the leading hot spring inns in the prefecture.

As a hot spring inn nestled in the woods at the base of the Tateyama Mountains and Mount Tsurugi, we are surrounded by greenery. Precisely because many guests prefer to spend almost all of their time in the inn, we deliver warm hospitality aimed at making each interlude a gratifying one.

Besides providing the hot spring with water that feels soft to the skin, we serve meals made with plenty of local foodstuffs in season. In the inn’s atmosphere of majestic scenery and handmade interior decorations, please savor even those moments of casual relaxation.
